Finally got my ILR

I wanted to share that I have been lurking on this group for months due to all the anxiety around ILR rule changes, job risks and what not. I just had my fingers crossed that we get our ILR before hell breaks. My 5 years were supposed to end on 10th of May, so I was eligible to apply for an ILR in April.

Timelines

- reached out to immigration lawyer in March

- completed all documentation by mid March

- Gave life in the uk test around March end

- wife gave her English test in first week of April

- Submitted application on 13th April

- Biometrics on 22nd April

- ILR approved on 23rd April

Personally it feels such a great milestone and we are now relieved that job losses or anything else will not force us to leave the country where we invested our time, bought a house, a car, had our child.

Recommendation for deck installers

Dear Bromley residents,

I am looking for trusted deck builders who can help me build a deck with good quality. For context the existing deck which is at height of 1.5 mts from the ground needs to be demolished and we want to extend the deck area to build a larger deck at the same height which means the work with foundations etc need to be reliable.

I have gone through a few quotes from deck builders who are giving me a full quote with building the deck and materials, but I want to source my own materials as I am inclined towards some good brands. Most builders are sourcing cheap composite materials which I am not sure would be good in the long term, but are still charging me 1.5x of the market price (~£500 per sq mt including materials which seems quite high)

Any recommended deck builders in the area that you can recommend ?
