CRS Score

I sat for the test on May 10 and received my results on May 13. My scores are as follows:

Listening 11 = CLB 11

Speaking 10 = CLB 10

Reading 10 = CLB 10

Writing 8 = CLB 8

With these scores, my CRS will jump from 510 to 516. If I request a re-evaluation and receive CLB 9 for writing, my CRS will jump to 536.

My question: How often do scores go down during re-evaluation? And how long does re-evaluation normally take?

Foreign Work Experience

I may have made a mistake when declaring some of my foreign work experience in my previous IRCC application.

I worked for a company as an independent contractor from 2020 to 2022, and as an employee from January to December 2023 (35 hrs per week) and from January 2024 to the present (16 hrs per week).

I submitted my Study Permit application in May 2023, listing an independent contractor role from 2020 but leaving the end date blank. I did not list the employee role for the company from 2023 at all.

During my visitor visa application in 2026, I also did not include it, as I was in Canada, and I focused on listing Canadian experiences.

They were omitted because I had only three spaces to list all my work experience for the past ten years, which was not enough. One positive aspect of my study permit application is that my supervisor wrote a letter of support for me, which included my role. I still have a copy of this letter, dated 12 April 2023.

I don’t want to include the independent contractor experience but prefer to use the employee experience for my Express Entry. So, what should I do?
