Does anyone else keep avoiding GoT and king killer because you don’t want to read a story with no ending?

I keep seeing them recommended over and over again, and there are some things I’ve heard about them that seem interesting to me, but I just can’t get over the fact that if I read them I might never see a proper ending.

It’s a little ironic since I’m a big stormlight fan so “journey before destination“ and all that, but I don’t want to start a journey that has no destination.

I can’t be alone on this, right?

edit: forgot the book series is called a song of ice and fire, my bad.

The contrast is truly magnificent

I know Vin gets a cool epithet in era 2, but people didn't start calling her that until after hero of ages, so it doesn't count.
