Thread Release done yesterday!
Yesterday, I went to Ovation Hand Institute in Mequon, WI to have carpal tunnel surgery. I’m happy to report I’m back to work TODAY (worked a full day at my desk)! Dr Niedfeldt does a thread carpal tunnel release that takes 15 minutes in office, no sedation needed (it was maybe 12 minutes from the time I laid on the table to when I was able to get up). I was super skeptical as to if it would be as easy as they said. It truly was easy. There is virtually no pain, my hand is a little tender. I’m on a lifting restriction for 2 weeks, but I can fully use my hand with no other restrictions. There are no incision marks, no stitches, just two puncture wounds covered by bandaids.
If you have been putting off having carpal tunnel surgery because of the invasiveness of it, I highly recommend going to Ovation Hand Institute in Wisconsin.
Huge thank you to Dr. Erek Latzka on this page who gave me the information about this procedure when I asked about endoscopic and SONEX procedures. Truly thank you!!
