Hexi wrap-up photos. These characters stayed with me. 🎞️🌾

Finished Hexi a while ago. Still not really over it. Saw this wrap-up picture just hit me again. All those familiar faces and all those touching stories.

>!Burlap Back!<

>!He’s just a ordinary guy who still carries a quiet longing under weathered exterior. His only mission is to carry a burlap sack of cotton seeds back to Chang'an — the capital he will never reach. We play as him to cross the desert, and hide from sandstorms. But most of the time, you're just an old man limping through the dunes, more afraid than heroic. In his final moment, he places the cotton seeds over his eyes. Giant birds circling above will eat his body — eyes first. They will carry the seeds back to Chang'an, undigested, and spread them across the land.!<

>!Burlap Back dies under a tree but his seeds reach Chang'an. Cotton blooms across the capital.!<

>!He didn't see home. But he got home there.!<

>!Lian Daozi!<

>!Lian Daozi is a young musician born in Hexi, but his grandfather never stopped longing for Chang'an — a city he passed down in stories like a promise that was never fulfilled. Lian Daozi grew up caught between two worlds, not fully belonging to either. His journey to find "home" is painful and bittersweet. At the end of the story, when the city falls and chaos breaks out, he climbs the tallest tower anyway and plays. The wanderers in Hexi together sing a song carrying their longing for home under the chaos.!<

>!Liuli & Guanyin ("Paper Moon")!<

>!And then there's Liuli and Guanyin. One is a carefree performer who drifts like wind. The other was raised in a gilded cage, her life already arranged. They weren't supposed to cross paths — and they certainly weren't supposed to love each other in a time and place that didn't make space for it. But they found each other under moonlight. Shared secrets by the pavilion. Made promises they tried so hard to keep.!<

>!In the end, Liuli died in an attempt to save Guanyin — or maybe just to reach her one last time. Guanyin went blind from wounds, but decades later, people still saw her walking alone with moonlight following her. She had opened a small shop in Chang'an. She always said she already had one moon. Even after losing everything, she kept her side of the promise.!<

Final Thought

These are stories about people trying to find home, trying to keep promises, trying to hold onto something before the world takes it away. Everyone just trying to get home under the same moon.

Thanks for going through these with me. Gonna miss them and this chapter.🍂

You know that feeling when you first step into Qin Chuan? Finally, rolling green hills everywhere after all that desert and snow. Felt so good.

But the more I run around, the stranger it gets. The landscape is peaceful, almost too peaceful. The music has this quiet, distant sadness to it—like something you'd hear in a Ghibli film. Beautiful, but you don't quite belong there. But somehow, you still find peace

Honestly, the whole Hexi arc has this dreamlike quality. You wake up and you're not sure if anything really happened. Qin Chuan just dials it up to eleven.

Hey everyone! I designed this cottage as a safe little home for the Jadecrest Runners in wwm construction mode. The layout was inspired by the classic seven dwarfs' cottage, with plenty of nooks and space for every single little bird to settle in. And i even made a hidden little cellar nook for the bigger ones to nest away peacefully.
