20m indoor testing results
Daughter plays soccer and part of Australian institute of sport academy for strength and conditioning (won’t say which one). She’s under 15s this year.
At the most recent quarterly performance testing she posted a 20m indoor standing start 3.11. Asked to run it again as they said that can’t be right. Did 3.12, and a final 3.55 effort (which was her best from three months earlier).
She beat the male sprint athletes and they all assumed she ran track or sprints.
Standing start, joggers, think indoor floor would have been very grippy but they still seemed a little shocked at the time.
Hard to find any reliable info outside of some academic studies. Hoping this group can shed some light on the result in relative terms.
- Trains 4-5 sessions a week in soccer plus x2 dedicated strength and conditioning with academy of sport coach plus a game so load already upper end.
