PGWP Extension Due to Passport Expiry - Online Application
Hi everyone,
I had to apply for a PGWP extension because my original PGWP validity was shortened due to my passport expiry.
My PGWP was expiring on April 5, and I submitted an online extension application on March 21 after renewing my passport. I also included a letter of explanation mentioning that this is a PGWP extension for the remaining validity after passport renewal.
After submitting, I received the IRCC submission confirmation letter, but I did not receive a work authorization/maintained status letter.
I wanted to ask:
Is the online application sufficient for this type of PGWP extension?
Has anyone received approval through the online process recently?
Is it normal to not receive the work authorization letter in this situation?
Do I need to submit a paper application as well, or should I just wait?
