This declaration was attached to one of Blake’s filings last week, which was confusing because many of the claims have since been proven false. It turns out it was just a copy of the declaration she originally filed in December 2025. I feel like it was from way earlier. Maybe someone can clear that up.

PLAINTIFF BLAKE LIVELY’S DECLARATION IN SUPPORT OF OPPOSITION TO DEFENDANTS’ MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT

I, Blake Lively, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1746, hereby declare as follows:

(1) I am over 18 years of age, of sound mind, and otherwise competent to make this declaration. The evidence set out in the following declaration is based on my personal knowledge.

INTRODUCTION TO BALDONI AND IT ENDS WITH US

(2) After initially meeting Justin Baldoni (“Baldoni”), I spoke with Liz Plank (“Plank”), a friend who co-hosted the Man Enough Podcast with him. Plank shared several negative experiences that she and others had with Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios LLC (“Wayfarer”).

(3) I felt strongly that It Ends With Us (the “Film”) could reach a broad audience. Lily Bloom’s story resonated with me deeply and personally, and I thought her story of resilience and empowerment was important to share. For these and other reasons, I ultimately accepted the role of Lily Bloom.

(4) I have only met the Film’s screenwriter, Christy Hall, once and very briefly, in person at the New York premiere on August 6, 2024. We only communicated one other time, which was also brief and via email a few days later.

BALDONI’S INAPPROPRIATE CONDUCT DURING PRE-PRODUCTION

(5) In late March 2023, Baldoni introduced me to a trusted health advisor of his, Jennifer Benson (“Benson”), purportedly for her to help me recover from strep throat.

(6) Benson subsequently sent me an agreement outlining the purpose and goals of her program. The agreement indicated that Benson specialized in weight loss.

(7) Shortly thereafter, my personal trainer and longtime friend, Don Saladino (“Saladino”), confirmed my suspicion that Baldoni was focused on my weight. In late April 2023, Saladino informed me that Baldoni asked him how much I would weigh in two weeks’ time—i.e., around the time filming was to begin. I was disturbed that Baldoni solicited this information, especially after I had recently given birth and was still breastfeeding.

(8) On or around April 25, 2023, I confronted Baldoni about speaking to Saladino regarding my weight and expressed that it felt invasive and inappropriate. My husband, Ryan Reynolds (“Reynolds”), briefly joined the discussion. No one else was present during the conversation.

INTIMACY & NUDITY

(9) The Wayfarer Defendants did not follow appropriate industry and/or nudity rider procedures.

(10) On or around May 19, 2023, I filmed a scene involving a kiss, which had been discussed and consented to in advance.

(11) On or around May 22, 2023, I filmed a birth scene (the “Birth Scene”).

(12) Standard protections for scenes involving partial or implied nudity were not followed. The set was not closed to non-essential personnel, and monitors remained active.

(13) The script did not call for nudity, and I did not consent to nudity in advance or through a nudity rider.

(14) On the day of filming, Baldoni and Jamey Heath (“Heath”) insisted that I simulate giving birth naked. I objected and ultimately agreed to limited simulated nudity under pressure.

(15) During filming, I was exposed in a manner that made me uncomfortable, with minimal covering and non-essential crew present.

(16) The actor playing the OB/GYN was introduced as one of Baldoni’s close friends.

(17) I felt the situation was humiliating and invasive.

(18) The following day, Heath showed me a graphic video of a nude woman without prior warning or consent.

(19) During a dance scene, Baldoni improvised intimate physical contact that had not been discussed or consented to in advance.

(20) In another scene, Baldoni bit and sucked my lip without consent.

NAVIGATING WAYFARER’S DISTRESSING WORK ENVIRONMENT

(21) On the second day of filming, Baldoni became emotional and delayed production. He also relayed hurtful comments about my appearance.

(22) During a car ride, Baldoni stated he had not always obtained consent in past sexual relationships.

(23) I discussed concerns with co-star Jenny Slate while considering how to address the situation.

(24) I raised concerns with Ange Giannetti, Baldoni, and Heath, including during a January 4, 2024 meeting focused on safety and workplace conditions.

(25) Despite raising concerns, I remained uncomfortable but continued working. I later learned Baldoni and Heath portrayed me negatively.

(26) No HR support, policies, or reporting procedures were provided.

THE EDIT

(27) I was at times denied access to footage and edits.

(28) A scene I was shown included graphic content involving a minor character that was not in the script or book.

(29) Edits often portrayed Baldoni’s character in a more graphic or aggressive manner.

(30) I believed the edits marginalized female characters and worked with Colleen Hoover on alternative edits.

(31) My involvement in editing was due to concerns about the film’s direction, not a desire for control.

(32) In April 2024, Sony supported my creation of a separate edit.

(33) I later shared a trailer featuring a Taylor Swift song with Swift, who approved its use.

(34) I sought input from trusted creatives.

(35) My ownership stake in Blake Brown is through LOL HATA LLC, in which I hold more than 99%.

I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.
