Hey everyone,

I recently picked up this pedal go-kart/project cart and I’m thinking about converting it to electric using 2x Bafang mid-drive motors, one driving each axle.

I’m mainly wondering:

Has anyone here mounted a Bafang mid-drive on something other than a bicycle, like a go-kart or cargo project?

Which motor worked best for torque and low-speed use?

Any issues with chain alignment, gearing, or overheating?

I’d love to hear from anyone who has tried something similar—or if you think this is a terrible idea.
