Impossible to find work in Oslo
Hey people. I am tired.
I made good resumes and I have a great skillset plus I have job experience in Norway. But nobody even replies to the applicatios. I applied to over 20 places in Oslo, of which 15 I dropped off my CV in person and not one person even replied or reached out. I know this is not because I don't speak fluent Norwegian. I have seen many workers who only speak English and my Norwegian friends also struggle to find work. Some of these applications have been up since January and are still open online. Why can't they just interview people? Why is it so difficult to find work here? If I don't find work within the next year, I cannot afford to live here anymore. And I don't want to go back to the country I was born in. And if my Norwegian really is the issue, I am sorry but I cannot possibly learn Norwegian fluently within 3 years time if I'm constantly studying and have been working until last year. Some of the places I drop my CV off at even seem super enthusiastic and already asking about my availability. I don't understand what is going on. I just want to find work here in Oslo.
