A little Blue Whale action
Footage from a couple years back, but figured I’d share since they’re back in town just off Dana Point. Quite a few Fin Whales lately too. Enjoy!

It’s that time of year again. Big calico bass on big hard baits! It’s really already begun. I noticed after the spring equinox larger fish move into shallow areas and begin to feed up. This is just from my personal experience. Fishing, large cranks, jerk baits, and even top water this time of year can produce some big bites. What’s your guys experience fishing larger than average hardbaits for calico bass?
Slow pitch jigging has become my favorite ways to target rockfish from 20 to 100+ fathom! Check out these browns we’ve been catching on the shallower stuff. We don’t see many of these local.
