[Mn] hypothetical is there away for a victim of a crime to challenge the sentence.
In the last few months I have been hearing about people committing horrific crimes and getting handed community service, or some other slap on the wrist.
Is there a legal way for the victim of a crime, or the family member of the victim of a crime to challenge the sentence of a crime they feel is wrong.
Also is there a legal way to hold the judge accountable if they hand out a excessively light sentence to someone who re offends.
Lets say Bob Smith was given 3 months in jail for killing someone. Then the 2 weeks after Bob gets out of jail he kills someone again. Under similar conditions. Could the judge be sued?
Im not talking about any specific cases
