First car? Is this a good idea?
Hello all, I am a 17 year old junior HS student looking to buy a C4 Corvette as my first car. I have already researched the different years, and I have gained a decent knowledge of the usual mechanical faults these cars are prone to having. I am willing to do some smaller repairs if I can find one for a good price, but I am by no means trying to fully restore anything. I understand that many of these are 3-4 decades old, and will have some issues. I want a fun and enjoyable 2 door sports car to enjoy as my first car. I like the idea of having the all-American sports car to bring to some mountain roads for fun. Like most other teenagers, I work a minimum wage job, so there is not much to spend. I would prefer a manual, Doug Nash 4+3 or ZF6, either one works, but I know they are naturally in higher demand and are as such more expensive.
