Since I started playing Postal II, nothing strange had happened—until one day when I launched the game as usual and couldn’t move or do absolutely anything. At first, I thought the game was simply bugged. But that wasn’t the case. When I checked the controls section under movement, I saw that the movement keys (you know, W, S, A, D) had disappeared and had been moved to the controller controls section (just to clarify, I’ve never played with or connected a controller to either Postal or Steam).

Since the W, S, A, and D keys had been assigned to controller movement controls, I tried restoring the default settings, but it didn’t work. Every time I tried to reset the parameters/controls to default, they would revert back to how they were before (as if they were corrupted), creating a loop where they return to a configuration I don’t want.

I’ve already tried several things: resetting values, reconfiguring them manually, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, asking ChatGPT—and nothing worked. I really need advice or solutions because it’s driving me crazy that nothing fixes or reconfigures the controls, and it makes the game unplayable. Thanks.

Desde que juego Postal II no me sucedió nada raro, hasta que un día que entre a jugar como de costumbre no podía moverme ni hacer absolutamente nada, llegue a creer que simplemente el juego estaba bugeado. Pero no era así, cuando cheque el apartado de controles en la sección de movimientos vi que los controles de movimiento habían desaparecido (Ya saben W, S, A, D) y se habían pasado al apartado de controles de mando (Aclaro que yo nunca jugue ni nunca conecte un mando ni a Postal ni a steam)

Dado que las teclas W, S, A y D se habían asignado a los controles de movimiento de mando trate de restaurar pro predeterminado los valores, pero no funcionó. Cada que intentaba restablecer por predeterminado los parámetros/los controles volvían a cómo estaban antes (como si estuvieran corruptos) y se mantienen en un bucle de volver a una configuración que no deseo.

Intenté ya varias cosas, restablecer valores, reconfigurarlo por mí cuenta, desinstalar y volver a descargar el juego, preguntarle a ChatGPT, y nada funcionó. Necesito por favor consejos o soluciones por qué me está volviendo loco que nada me esté funcionando para arreglar o reconfigurar los controles, y hace injugable el juego, gracias.
