Please suggest if this is a good itinerary for Bali + Java
Hi Guys,
So we’re a friends group visiting Indonesia in Sept this year. Wanted to know if this is a good itinerary. Our major focus would be adventure + partying + scenic views in that order.
Here is our plan:
4th Sept: Arrival in Jakarta and a connecting flight from there to Yogyakarta and spend the evening there.
5th: Borobudur sunrise, then Mt Merapi Jeep tour, ending with Prambanan sunset.
6th: Yogyakarta -> Malang train transit and stay the night there.
7th: Mt Bromo early morning and then its jeep tour. Then in the afternoon leave for Ijen area.
8th: Midnight - 1am start Ijen trek and complete it and have breakfast and rest a bit and then leave for Bali and arrive by evening to Ubud. Would rest for the remainder of the day.
9th: Ubud activities and sight seeing
10th: Again same in Ubud.
11th: Early morning boat to Gili T island. Water activites + island exploring etc and partying in the night.
12th: Snorkeling etc (water activities which are remaining from yesterday) + cafes etc and again party in the night.
13th: Boat back to Bali and then to Uluwatu area (thinking of getting a villa in South Kuta area)
13-15th: Partying in Uluwatu / Canngu area and exploring things which are good there.
16th: A day trip to Nusa Penida (typically the T-Rex or Diamond beach) whichever is possible.
17th: Leave for Komodo Islands and stay there until 18th night and then at night come back to Bali.
19th: Return to Bali and flight from Bali back to home.
Now, this is a pretty high level plan for our trip. What I want to know is:
What are the best places to do all activities: Scuba, snorkeling, ATV, maybe swim with whales etc too (I’ve seen this happening in some places). Also ironically, we’re all novice swimmers having just swimmed in swimming pools 😂😂 so please consider that.
I have tried to consider the transit time in most places but I know that since I haven’t visited there, might be quite optimistic so please suggest gaps wherever you can notice them.
What are the best places to party in Bali. Need some recommendations for partying as we’re around 8-10 friends and want to experience good nightlife at Bali.
