In case anyone's been keeping track, it is now month 2 since the IRS IT All-Hands meeting. I have yet to see any new hiring or job postings being done for IRS IT on USAJOBS.

I have seen some murmurs on r/usajobs regarding "TechForce" hiring being done for IRS IT, and I certainly hope that's not what he meant by opening up new 175 IRS IT jobs. Considering that TechForce seems to be a 2-3 year contract, and not an actual permanent fed position.

Also, the leaked IRS employee headcount document for 2027 explicitly states that there are no plans to increase IT employees for 2027. I can only conclude that the CIO lied.

Please, for everyone in this sub who has been impacted by this horrible administration, go out there and vote in this year’s midterms and then vote again in the presidential race.

You can 100% blame full RTO, losing your BU rights and no foreseeable promotions or higher annual salary increases at the IRS thanks to this administration.

There is no other culprit, it is not TDS if the decision makers ruining our careers and our lives are all Trump cabinet members and Trump appointees. For everyone who was previously a-political, I hope 2025 was a wake up call for you.

This administration is temporary, vote them out.
