Hi guys, im fairly new to mountaineering and have barely any expirience. i live in the south of england so ive only ever really done hiking in scotland and wales, and done some winter mountaineering in eyri national park.

im looking at taking the next step and beggining some actual mountaineering, im curious if more experienced people have any tips, gear recommendations or peaks that may be a good start (preferably within europe)

I am about to finish college, i fucked up my exams and im not going to pass any unfortunatley. My original career goal was to be a pilot but that isn't realistic anymore so I'm looking towards my plan B.

As I am 18, getting any job on a class 1 is going to be nearly impossible due to insurance costs. So i am looking for advise on a few things:

1. If I have the money, is it still worth doing the full class 1 licence even if i may only be driving class 2 for a while.

2. What sort of jobs should I be looking into, ill be aiming to start work this time next year as I'm taking a gap year to travel.

3. I live in the south of England (Brighton area) and I would love to get a job in trucking that involves multi-country crossing and long haul routes around Europe, what sort of path or companies should I be looking into.

Im starting to feel like theres no other way out of this mess. Its been an ongoing issue for 4 years and recently its started to become unbearable. i dont really want to go into details but even excluding the main issue, nothing is going right.

I have exams in a week and im going to be failing them all, its too late. So im going to be living at home with no qaulifications and my deadbeat job at mcdonalds, im overwight, lost the only person i truly loved and almost all of my friends have left me, its led to sh and other horrible things i hate more about myself now. I dont really see a future for myself that has anything worth living for.

idk what i expect posting here, but if anyone else was in a similar situation what did you do.
