Looking for something very distracting but not too complex.

So, around the time of the pandemic I actually fell off movies and tv almost entirely. I think until a few months ago the only TV show I watched from 2019-now was Chernobyl.

Finally binged through The Expanse a couple weeks ago while having a rough time.

4 days ago my cat got a bad diagnosis, and over the last 3 I watched The Pitt seasons 1 and 2, and that show was absolutely perfect for what I needed... It's also, very far from what I used to watch. 10 years ago the very idea would have been met with "So... It's ER but pretending not to be a soap opera? Pass..." and would have checked out on that alone.

With the unique format of the show, being hour to hour, one per episode, I think a lot of why it hit so well other than just being good is the pacing. Given how I'm doing right now my biggest confusions wound up being "Wait which patie- Oh right the waitress 3 episodes earlier." which was nice. Also a few about Digby but those were intentionally left unanswered in service of his point in the show.

I've been away from visual media outside of youtube for so long I'm not even entirely sure how to better ask for what recommendations I can get. So.... Yeah? Suggestions?
