Are there mods to change the GUI?

So I just started playing this and the artstyle is absolutely amazing, but the one issue I have is that the GUI is kinda frustrating to me. I just finished a week-long SimCity 2000 binge and I was hoping there was a way to make the GUI function similarly to that. I dont love having to confirm every road placement and such and the build menu is sort of awkward. Is there any way to change this stuff?

It's not really a deal breaker, and I could adapt to this over time, but as a long time SimCity fan, it would be super nice to have more GUI options to make it less cumbersome.

I finally suceeded at SC2K

I first got SC2K in 1995, it was my first ever PC game. I begged my parents to get me a PC just so I could play this game. Unfortunately, I was 7 years old and could not figure out how to play it properly. I would just use cheats and mess around.

After 30 years of not understanding how to play the game properly, I finally sat down yesterday and figured it out.

My city has no planning, I was just figuring it out on the fly, so it's sort of chaotic. I somehow managed to keep mostly everyone happy, though. The only real zoning plan I stuck to was keeping all my industrial around the perimeter and keeping pollution as low as possible.

I tried to avoid doing terraforming and just decided to work with the map I was given. It might not look very pretty, but it's functional and profitable.

It felt real good plopping down those arcologies without using cheats. I am not really sure how to improve this map and building every arco felt like enough of a "win" condition for me to be satisfied. Even at 1% tax rates, the city is still making profit.

It's like a big gamer weight has finally been lifted off my shoulders after 30 years.
