When you self cut, cutting it fast should never be the objective.
Some of ya’ll on this subreddit might not wanna hear it but if you’re just getting started, for the love of god please just take your time! I can’t stress that enough. Watch videos and study fading techniques. Don’t be afraid to watch tutorials as you’re cutting your hair. Yes you will mess up at the beginning but don’t rush and needlessly mess up. At the end of the day when you cut your own hair the objective is to save money, and give yourself the cut that YOU want. If you rush you won’t learn or do a good job. With time you will probably get naturally faster at cutting but even then taking your time is key!
