Got all the way to the course yesterday, opened the boot to get my shoes out and realised I’d left them at home. Not enough time to go back and get them.

So on I ploughed with my Puma court shoes. Conditions extremely windy and wet.

First shot off a winter mat absolutely fine, great drive.

Second shot, 5 iron. Slow backswing, and BHAM! I’m on my back looking at the sky.

Twisted ankle, currently sat with ice on my ankle.
