Removing broken pane

Kids broke my front window this afternoon with a soccer ball. I've been telling them for two years to quit kicking the ball toward the house, but my kids act like they're deaf.

I've got double hung, Andersen windows (they're old- OG to the house from 1985). Both panes broke, but there are some significant pieces still hanging in there after I've picked out and vacuumed all the loose bits.

I've removed the glazing beads on the outside, but the silicone is still holding onto the big floppy guillotine pieces. I ran a blade around it through the silicone, but it's still firmly affixed. I couldn't get a blade between the glass and the window frame on the inside.

My question is, is there an elegant way to remove those last big pieces? Or do I just bash it out and then use a putty knife to remove the last bits glued to the silicone?
