I am a student in my home country and currently live with my parents. My sister lives in Canada, and she is pregnant with her first child. This is such a special and meaningful moment for our family, so we decided to apply for my visa as well, since my parents are going to visit her.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. My visa was rejected. The reason given was that I do not have sufficient ties to my home country, and the officer was not convinced that I would return. It’s truly heartbreaking to know that I will miss out on such an important moment in my sister’s life and in our family.

Is there anything we can do?
