Supporting Mike Marraccini
I was thinking about Mike Marraccini's GoFundMe. This community has been amazing and has already raised nearly $20,000 in recent days to support his current appeal battle with Laura. At the moment the fundraiser is around $69,000. But he is going to need a lot more to get through this.
I looked up ways to support a crowdsourced fundraiser and found the following ideas. What if each of us committed to doing at least 1 of the following?
Amplify and Share (Free Actions)
- Share on Social Media: Post on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube.
- Leverage Personal Networks: Email relevant contacts directly. Know someone with clout or cash following the case? Get in touch with them to donate and/or spread the word.
- Engage with Content: Like, comment on, and share posts about the campaign to increase its visibility in social media algorithms.
Direct Financial Support
- Donate Money: Make a direct donation, regardless of the size, as all contributions help reach the goal.
- Anonymous Giving: Make a contribution without publishing your name if you prefer privacy.
- Become a Recurring Donor: Set up automatic monthly donations.
Strategic and Active Support
- Host/Participate in a Fundraiser Event
What else can we do?
