Is West Acton Friendly for Non-Japanese people?
Apologies the post is in Ealing (I assume location is by council and where i'm moving to is technically Ealing)
We're looking to move to West Acton somewhere by West Acton station as we think it's a great place with the conservation area, Ealing Common, and access to loads of underground lines. One thing in particular we liked was that the demographic is diverse, with a large Japanese demographic
I'm a big fan of Japan and the lifestyle (I've been 3 times) and enjoy the culture, food, and hospitality of Japanese people, but I haven't lived in Japan. And I've heard from a lot of people that they're not particularly keen on meeting other ethnicities due to the language barrier and cultural values. Even some reviews were saying some clubs/groups are all Japanese.
I'm British Chinese (31) and my wife is British Pakistani (29) (Both grew up in the UK), and so I'm just a little nervous that It's going to be a bit difficult meeting people and creating that community. Am i just overthinking this because I think it's going to be an important part of our lives there
Do you guys have any experience living in West Acton? Please let me know what you think! Thanks!
