I read a few posts and comments on how everything after 2023 has some downgrades and that I should get the 2023 model, is that true, or should I go for a newer model?

I am getting a new Lenovo P16s Ryzen AI 7 PRO 350 notebook.

Which OS should I run Kubuntu or Fedora? It's going to be used for work.

I only ever used Ubuntu/Linux Mint (and as a kid Arch based distros and Crunchbang, but that was long ago). I heard bad things about snap, not sure why that is. Can it be replaced with flatpak easily? Which would you guys pick and why?
