I bought a brand new 2026 Frontier S and negotiated a tow kit install with the purchase. They outsourced the job and they used generic parts rather than the OEM Nissan kit. The plug is also different from the OEM plug which is annoying. They also used self tappers into my bumper for the plug so now I have to worry about rust forming there. I am not very happy with them right now. Currently waiting for the GM to call me back later today. If this was a 10 year old vehicle I would not have complained but the fact that it’s brand new and I took it to the dealer and they didn’t use Nissan parts rubbed me the wrong way. Luckily I don’t think they cut up the harness for the install.
