How does summer courses credits work?
Hi! I am entering my second year this coming fall semester, and I am currently taking 3 summer courses. I know queen's definition for a regular semester is to have at least 4 courses per term, but I think med schools seems to define them a little bit different.
I have several questions regarding how summer course credits work:
- Do the courses I take this summer term count towards my first-year credit requirements? If so, does it mean I will still have to take 30 units in my second year?
- 2 of the 3 summer courses I am currently taking are core courses for second year. Would I have to take 2 other electives/2 third year core coures to replace these units?
- If I were to complete 4 full-time years (30 units every year, 5 courses per fall/winter term and no courses taken during summer), with the 3 summer courses I am currently taking, does it mean I will have 129 credits when I finish my degree?
- Is it possible to take 4 courses per fall/winter term, and then take 2 courses in the summer term, for it to still be considered as a full-time year?
Thank you in advance!
