Going to pick up my first bike this weekend. Super stoked. 1600 Roadstar Silver Edition. #810 of 1600.
I've ridden a bike before. I rode a 03 vstar and a 89 4cyl goldwing. I only have maybe a week or two of riding experience. I'm aware of the weight of the bike. I would be lying if I said I wasn't slightly nervous lol. I'm more excited but I'm also 28 and have become a little more wise about safety. I rode the shit out of my brother's yamaha and goldwing.
My experience was riding through the caprocks in west Texas. I've ridden over 100mph, once in the rain and I rode about a mile total on some rock road. I'd say my concern is really just my turns (leaning) and braking. I also live on a very busy road and my driveway isn't ideal so that'll be another hurdle to overcome. I'm ready though. I've got my helmet, my wet gear and some riding shades. Any suggestions?
