I tried Using Ai to Organize my messy home here what actually happened

So I recently came across this article about someone using AI (like Gemini) to organize their pantry, and I decided to try something similar for my own chaotic space.

Honestly, I expected AI to just magically fix everything… like give me a perfect system in seconds. That didn’t happen

What actually worked:

AI helped me create a step-by-step plan instead of staring at the mess and overthinking it

Once I gave very specific details (measurements, photos, what I own), the suggestions got way better

It made the whole process feel less overwhelming and gave me a starting point

But here’s the reality check:

I had to prompt it a LOT (like multiple times) to get something useful

It still gave some generic advice like “throw out expired stuff”

It didn’t actually save time — I still spent hours decluttering myself

Big takeaway for me:

AI is good for planning and motivation, not actually doing the work. It’s like a neutral assistant that helps you think clearly, but you still have to make all the decisions and do the cleaning yourself.

Also, something I didn’t think about before — you’re basically sharing details about your home, habits, and stuff with AI, which raises some privacy questions
