Renting a personal beacon

My partner and I are visiting next week and trying to rent a personal beacon from lauceston before we go hiking due to recommendations from this sub, however cannot get in touch with the office. We are from the US so have been attempting to call their international call service during opening hours tasmania time, but no one is answering. Is it possible to rent one on the day we arrive if we cant get int touch?

I’ll be visiting Tassie in a few weeks and planning a bunch of day hikes including cradle mountain, freycinet, cape raoul and cape hau, maybe mt Amos if the weather is good. does it ever snow on any hiking trails during this time that spikes would be recommended? and is it possible to rent them?
