Launching incomplete roads

It’s completely normal in Kenya for a road to be “officially launched” when it still has:

  1. No road markings
  2. No drainage system
  3. Unmarked bumps
  4. Zero signage for speed zones, steep sections, or sharp corners
  5. No pedestrian walkways
  6. No street lighting, even for urban areas
  7. Potholes, even before the contractor has left the site
