Launching incomplete roads
It’s completely normal in Kenya for a road to be “officially launched” when it still has:
- No road markings
- No drainage system
- Unmarked bumps
- Zero signage for speed zones, steep sections, or sharp corners
- No pedestrian walkways
- No street lighting, even for urban areas
- Potholes, even before the contractor has left the site
