Trying to decide where to live and would love some real input.

I’m single, mid-40s, have a dog, and would be commuting to WTC ~3x/week.

I’m deciding between Tarrytown and Montclair. I like that Tarrytown seems calmer with a better commute, but I’ve seen people say it can feel isolating if you’re not a parent or already have a circle.

Not looking to party all the time, but I do want some life around me and the ability to meet people without trying too hard.

For anyone who’s lived in these areas — how does it actually feel day-to-day?

Does Tarrytown get too quiet? Is Montclair worth the longer commute?
