What was something you went a good chunk of your life not knowing was specifically Canadian?

And you just assumed this is how the rest of the world does it, until you went on the internet or talked to people outside of Canada, or had someone from Canada come here and you had no idea why they're looking at you funny.

To me it was milk bags. I assumed this is how everyone did until I was in my twenties. Now I actively hate these things. Like...why? It's such a pointless hassle.
