Please Stop Doing This!

Summer is here and when it’s 75+ outside, don’t walk your dogs on the hot a$$ pavement in the middle of the day. Take them to a shady spot. Meridian is almost always shady.

You’re burning their paws. If it’s too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for theirs. This lady was walking her dog and the poor thing kept trying to pull her to the shade. She was either oblivious or just plain mean because she kept pulling her dog back onto the hot sidewalk. I’m about to put up flyers everywhere because I can’t stand to see it. As a SoBe lifetime local, I see this all the time and it drives me nuts. I don’t know how to say anything about it without sounding like a Karen, but this time, it was painful to watch that dog obviously in pain.

I tried to get her attention but she was too far ahead to hear me.

Editing to add: one of my best friends is the medical director at a popular vet hospital in Miami, and she told me the same thing. They see a lot of burned paws in the summer.

UPDATE: Windy balcony Meyer Lemon

I’ve had my tree for about a month and a half now. I repotted into a heavy terra cotta pot, fed with citrus food, deep water every other day (I live on the beach in south florida) and look! 😭 I can’t believe it. I thought she hated me.

What should I do now?

Fly Eagles Fly!

Finally finished my first tapestry after 5 months on and off. I could’ve finished in 2 months but got bored and started other projects. She’s a beast and a beauty.
