We all know Tails is the sidekick but half the time he’s carrying the whole mission with some gadget he built while Sonic is off doing a loop de loop and eating chili dogs. What if one day Eggman launches some orbital cannon thing (classic) and Sonic is like "Tails, need you!" and Tails just... doesn't respond. Not because he's captured. Not because he's busy. Just because he finally got tired of being the backup brain while Sonic gets all the credit. Like imagine Sonic showing up to the final zone and realizing the Tornado isn't coming. No translator for the ancient tech. No emp to disable the badnik swarm. Just Sonic and his speed against a fully prepared Eggman. That’s kind of terrifying right??
I’m not saying Tails turns evil or anything. Just takes a mental health day. For a whole week. Sonic has to actually think his way through a fight for once lol.
Do you guys think he’d still win or would Eggman actually take over for a while? Lowkey I think Sonic would survive but the whole planet would be a mess until Tails comes back.
