Ex is refusing to see the kids during his parenting time
location: Illinois
hello, my ex (30 m) and me (28 f) have 3 kids together. he has his parenting time on the weekend starting Friday at 5 pm and ending Sunday at 8 pm. I am required to take them and pick them up.
we are currently going through a divorce and he lawyered up. we got sent to mediation, and now once everything was gonna get finalized, he wants to change the parenting plan to every other weekend, giving me no time to work. his lawyer sent me the parenting plan and I have refused to sign it because I need to work too.
he also went as far as to put a restraining order on my current boyfriend to keep him from taking them. I just don't understand cause it all came out of nowhere. we already went to mediation and he was adamant on taking them on the weekend. now it's a problem and he doesn't want to take them anymore unless it's every other weekend. which saddens me for our kids. now we have a pre-trial and a trial this summer...
has anyone else been in this situation? I don't have a lawyer and I'm documenting everything. it just feels like an uphill battle. thank you for reading if you made it this far
