Attitude towards people from different countries
Hey! I travel a lot and I’ve been living in different countries for a while during the journey, and when I do i start seeing a lot of subreddits from the locations I am in. I am currently in Georgia for less than a year and that’s how I ended up seeing posts from this subreddit. I can see Georgian people as welcoming and mostly pleasant to communicate with which is a great! Love the country!
Through this subreddit I have seen a lot. Like really a lot of post highlighting a strictly negative attitude towards specific nations. Which confuses me a lot. And which i personally do not like. The most common are people from India and Russia. I see posts from Indian students reporting strictly negative attitude towards them among Georgian people. And many comments from probably locals admitting it and saying that Indians deserve it. Way more posts filled with hate towards russians, whether the post is about or politics or not (a fresh post about russian sportsmen whistled by georgian audience).
So my question is: is this a common behavior among georgian people to treat people according to their nationality? Part of culture or education maybe. Or is it just a specifics of vocal minority in this subreddit?
