How to reduce gums/teeth damage with spider bites?

My eyebrow piercing is rejecting and now I'm thinking about getting another facial piercing to compensate for it. I really love spider bites but I know that oral piercings cause teeth and gums damage over time.

I'm still debating if it's worth it (and probably will wait for it since I'm healing a double helix at the moment) but in case I do decide to get it, what are some recommendations to reduce teeth/gum damage?

Would studs be better? Maybe letting it nest would reduce the gums damage?

Or would having hoops be better? Maybe getting them at a more vertical angle, a little bit more outside on the lip would reduce the damage?

I would appreciate some advice, thx
