So i’m with T-Mobile and we have a tower really close by and for about 2 years the wifi has been really good and did everything i needed it to do. however i didn’t do my due diligence and torrented without using a vpn & after abt 2 months of doing it somewhat consistently my speeds have tanked consistently. i heard they can slow down your internet if they find out. the thing is i haven’t torrented much abt 200gb worth. So is this something they are know to do? i know its not my bandwidth because when my computer is off it struggles when i try to play on my x-box. is it common for them to slow down internet speeds like this? if so would going to T-Mobile & getting a diffrent box solve the issue of my ip address being different? sorry i’m new to this any advice helps thanks.also the price of my wifi went up 10$ i doubt that’s related but is that something else they will do?

edit: the 200 gb is over a span of 4 months as far as im aware this just started this month so if it is because i’ve used to much data over a span of time wouldn’t it rest because may just started? or is it over bill period?
