Question I recently accepted a job offer from UP for train crew in Boone, Iowa however I was curious to know is that the location I would be working? And also are there high risk of furloughs going on right now?
Just got a job offer for Train crew out of Boone, Iowa. However I wanted to get some input from everyone. I live in California so taking the job means relocating obviously, I have always wanted to work for the railroad and I am eager to take the job however if you were in my position would you day its worth it? I read a lot of good and bad comments from others who work for UP. The job pays more than I make now and offers better benefits however I do worry about the whole furlough thing I read a lot about, any input would be greatly appreciated
