As the title states-removed it by myself. So I originally went in to get it removed and told the doctor all of the pain and bleeding I was having. She convinced me to have a biopsy on my uterus tissue-which I did and I had endometritis which can be caused by the iud….well she also wanted imaging. I have been bleeding nonstop for three weeks since this appt and not only that, I decided I want it out and tried to reschedule. The earliest date was July 29th. I am an OB nurse and said f*ck it. I have checked so many women in labor and checked myself when I was in labor. I found the string and pulled. Took me about 3 minutes standing in the shower to remove it.
I’d really like my uterus out but I have to try one more form of birth control and an ablation before they will do it. I bleed heavily for about a week a month without the iud so I’m just done.
So glad I got it taken out but so annoyed I wasted time on an ultrasound 😂
