My dad is overweight and lazy so I was thinking about getting him a dog which will force him to go outside and create discipline. I asked Claude to list dog breeds with the requirements of cleanliness, not too big, friendly with cats (he has 8), smart and with minimal preexisting health conditions. It gave me a few breeds but the one that I set on was a Basenji. What are some things to expect? Should I go and get a puppy or an older dog? Would this be to much as my dads first dog? Where would I go about getting one? What should I look for when buying/adopting a Basenji? And any other information would be helpful that I didn’t think of. Thank you guys
