Ceramic braces with bite blocker OR switch to Invisalign with bite ramps?
48 yrs old and I just got ceramic braces top and bottom with bite blockers on the molars. Torture. I chose braces because I knew I wouldn't be compliant with Invisalign. Of course, you don't realize how much bite blockers will affect you, so much mental and physical discomfort I was not prepared for - wish the Ortho explained this way more! Anyway, I have an appt next week to discuss taking off the top arch ($685 to debond!!) and switch to Invisalign (with bite ramps on trays) That way I can eat normally?? For some reason I have to keep braces on the bottom arch. So IF I can switch, it's now the price diff of Invisalign for top arch plus $685 to debond. SO frustrated. Anyone else switch to Invisalign from braces?
