Need help fixing chair with missing threads.

So as you can see the chair is supposed to have this threaded hole kind of set into a square hole for the bolts to attach to, this holds the backrest onto the chair.

They are M8 bolts normally, but I need to find a way to have some form of self anchoring system as there is no access to the interior of the chair for a regular bolt to work.

If I could find the threaded part that sits in the square I would do that but I have no idea what to look up.

All the self anchoring bolts I’ve seen are either for concrete or drywall and will not work for this.
