With the arrival over the past 48 hours of the posthumously released Michael and Blood on the Dance Floor, I declare my Michael Jackson collection complete. I have covered his childhood offerings with the Best of Michael Jackson - Anthology Series. It has probably 80-90% of all songs on his first four childhood records. I also treasure the personally autographed copy of Bad that I got from him through a friend who worked at HMV in London when he visited in the early noughties. A celebration of a phenomenal career.

For those new to exploring Michael Jackson’s music this 2 CD collection does a great job of covering his pre-adult Motown work. So if you are not minded to buy or explore the individual albums, this release covers ALL the hits from that period and then some. Should be available on Amazon.com - The Best of Michael Jackson (Anthology Series). Listening to it again today reminded me that Michael was just across the board legendary at all ages. Such a defining talent.

I have recently celebrated 35 years as a Mariah Carey fan. I was an avid collector of her music from her first album but from 2013 I switched to mainly streaming and consumed music that way. I recently decided in honor of how much enjoyment she has brought to me and the overwhelming success her career has been that I need to complete my physical collection for its sentimental value.
