I bought the game recently on steam, about 4 or 5 weeks ago, but it's the base edition, would it better to play this version which is HV but has all the dlc cause it's the ultimate edition or only play the base edition of the game which I own on steam?

like pros of playing the steam version are

1. I don't need to download another version
2. steam benefits like achievements and play hours
3. it's much easier to play

cons

1. the download size is bigger
2. it's just the base version and not the ultimate version

now the pros and cons of the HV repack
pros

1. smaller download size
2. ultimate edition so it has all dlc
3. possibly better performance? Idk I've heard some people say HV runs worse and some say Hv runs better but it's most likely the same or not big enough of a performance difference for it to matter a lot

now the cons

1. it'll take a much longer time to download
2. it's HV so I'll need to restart every time before playing and restart after playing
3. no steam benefits so like no hour counter, or achievements
4. some security risks that don't really matter to me but are present

what would you choose and what should I choose?

The last cutscene of the story had me crying man, I played the game on english, I LOVED the English Dub, for almost all of the characters besides Kiryu, Majima and Saejima and Daigo and Watase and Date, everyone to me sounds better in the English dub

I did switch it back to Japanese any time Kiryu or Majima/Saejima were on screen, not because their English voice actors are bad but because I've been playing with them on the Japanese versions for like the past maybe 8 games now? I played Gaiden before this game (love that game too) and I played this game in kind of a weird order

like first I played it till chapter 7, then I played gaiden until chapter 4, then I played until chapter 11, then I played and beat gaiden then I beat the Kaito files and kurohyou 1 and 2 and some other games like mgs delta and alan wake and control (i put off Yakuza 7 for like 4 months during this lmao) but recently I been played the fuck out of it after finishing re9 and I finished it today and this game genuinely is a top 3 Yakuza game

My only big complaint were the graphics, no matter what you can do, these graphics suck ass

I played the game on a pretty beefy pc with many graphics mods and I played the game on 4k Native on max settings on a 4k 144hz LG G5 Oled tv and still this game looks like shit, like idk if it's the art style or what cause even Y3R which is not that good looking of a game still has a nice art style and honestly it looks more visually appealing than this game, this game was kinda ugly to look at, like cutscenes still look great (the cinematic ones and not the shitty unvoiced ones or the click "x" to skip a piece of dilouge cutscenes which are unfortunately like 90% of this game's cutscenes)

overall incredible game, disregard the bad graphics and I would say this is a solid 9.5/10 game, incredible story, incredible acting, great music, amazing characters, I loved it, I'd rate it honestly higher than Judgment's story

I did buy infinite wealth recently, idk if I wanna even play it cause how good the ending for this game is and it feels like one of those times where it's better to imagine what they do next instead of actually seeing it

so Kiryu has a heat action in Y0 and Kiwami where in the Dragon Of Dojima style he slaps the shit out of someone and in Y2 Og a similar heat action where he bitch slaps

and this heat action will work on literally every character and they ALWAYS fall to the ground when it happens

Chad Haruka is the only one who doesn’t, she’s barley fazed by it, she probably could’ve bitch slapped Kiryu back and knocked the sonic rings out of him but she didn’t, she’s also the only character not to fight in Yakuza 5 because shes actually the strongest character in the entire series and if she fought someone, they’d get obliterated

so Haruka is the strongest person in gaming realistically, Haruka>Kratos
