HR says ‘this is the max’ — is it actually true? (Accenture offer, 5 YOE)
I have ~5 years of experience and currently earn 15.5 LPA (13.6 LPA fixed). I’ve received an offer from Accenture for 17 LPA (Band Level 10). The HR mentioned that this is the maximum budget for this band.
How accurate is this claim in your experience? Is there usually room for negotiation beyond what HR states as the “max”? Also, what strategies would you suggest to negotiate better compensation in this situation?
