Hello!!! My boyfriend’s little brother will be getting a guinea pig for his 11th birthday!

I came to ask if there’s anything that we should know; what they enjoy playing with most, what food is optimal, if they are solitary or prefer being in a group, if they like being held, etc. Just anything a new-comer would need to know from an experienced group of owners!
