[Online][CoC/WoD][Wednesdays 10am CST] Roadtrip of Darkness — 1984 mortal horror road trip, slow-burn psychological dread, 3-4 players wanted

Looking for Players — 1984 Horror Road Trip, World of Darkness Mortals

Wednesdays 10am CST / 4pm UTC — 3 to 4 hours per session — 3 to 4 players

Summer of 1984. You're in a car on a highway that doesn't behave the way highways should. The towns are wrong. People say things they couldn't know. Something is bleeding through, and it's been following you since before you got on the road.

This is a mortal horror campaign using World of Darkness. No vampires or werewolves — just people. People who happen to have one small, strange thing about them that they've never been able to explain and have mostly tried not to think about. That thing matters now.

The game is slow-burn psychological horror with a strong focus on character and theme. Family trauma, identity, grief, the ugly things people carry and pretend they've left behind. Set against late summer America — diners, motels, two-lane highways, towns that feel like they're watching you leave.

No prior WoD experience needed. Rules are light, story is the point.

I need players who:

Show up consistently and communicate when they can't. Enjoy roleplay and character drama as much as or more than action. Are comfortable with dark themes handled thoughtfully. Can commit to a Wednesday morning slot.

Schedule: Wednesdays, 10am CST / 4pm UTC

Session length: 3 to 4 hours

Players: 3 to 4

Comment below or send a message. Tell me what kind of player you are and what pulls you toward this kind of game.

Online | Numenera | Guild Building Campaign | Sundays 9:30am CST (3:30pm UTC) | 3 to 4 Players

The old ruler is dying and has no heir. The noble houses that prop up his failing court are already circling, maneuvering for position before the inevitable. Guilds rise and fall on their patronage. The desert around the city is riddled with ruins from a billion years of forgotten civilizations, and anyone bold enough to dig might find something that changes everything.

You and your companions have just inherited a crumbling guildhouse on the edge of the city. It hasn't been used in decades. You have no patron, no writ to explore the ruins, and no reputation to speak of. What you do have is each other, and a lot of ambition.

This is a Numenera campaign using the Cypher System, with custom subsystems built on top of it for guild management, tier progression, and faction reputation. Between delving ancient ruins for lost technology, you will be navigating noble politics, building your guildhall, and carving out a name for yourselves in a city that doesn't care whether you succeed or fail.

The tone aims for a mix of exploration and wonder, political friction, and meaningful roleplay. Combat exists but is not the focus. Decisions about who to ally with, which jobs to take, and how to grow your guild will matter just as much as what you find underground.

No experience with Numenera is needed at all. The system is light and I will walk everyone through it. If you enjoy roleplay-heavy games, political intrigue, resource management with actual stakes, and weird science-fantasy settings, this may be the table for you.

Sessions run 3 to 4 hours. Looking for 3 to 4 players total. Drop a comment or send a message if you are interested, and tell me a little about what draws you to the game.

**[Online][CoD/WoD][Wednesdays 8:30 AM CST / 14:30 UTC]Looking for 3–4 Players | Horror Roadtrip | East to West Coast | Heavy Roleplay**

It's the late 1980s. The highways are long, the motels are cheap, and something is very wrong with you.

You and a handful of strangers share something you've never been able to explain — a smell that isn't there, a dream that comes true, a face in a crowd that no one else sees. Maybe you're gifted. Maybe you're losing your mind. The road from the East Coast to the West Coast is about to make it very hard to tell the difference.

This is a **Chronicles of Darkness** game using the **mortal rules** with subtle psychic/supernatural Merits — think Medium, Omen Sensitivity, prophetic dreams, psychometry. Powers are ambiguous by design: they could be real, or they could be the first signs of a breakdown. NPCs will treat them like the latter. With inclusion of custom content.

**What to Expect**

**Heavy roleplay focus** — long conversations in a broken-down car at 3 AM, tense diner scenes, moral weight in every decision

**Episodic structure** — coast-to-coast journey with self-contained stops and a slow-burn overarching mystery

**Psychological horror** — dread through doubt, isolation, and Integrity erosion, not jump scares or hack-and-slash

**Late 80s atmosphere** — no cell phones, Satanic Panic headlines, Rust Belt decay, mixtape aesthetics

**Fragile characters** — you are mortal, vulnerable, and not built for this

---

**System:** Chronicles of Darkness 2e (CoD) + Midnight Roads

**Platform:** [VTT — TBD based on group preference]

**Schedule:** Wednesdays, 8:30 AM CST / 14:30 UTC

**Session Length:** [Add your expected session length here]

**Players Needed:** 3–4

**Experience Required:** None with the system — familiarity with roleplay-heavy games is a plus

**You're a great fit if you:**

- Love character-driven drama and morally complicated decisions

- Enjoy leaning into your character's flaws and fears

- Are comfortable with themes of psychological horror, paranoia, and ambiguity

- Can commit to a Wednesday morning recurring slot

**This probably isn't for you if you:**

- Prefer combat-focused or power-fantasy play

- Want clear-cut answers about what's real

---

Drop a comment or DM me with a little about yourself as a player and what draws you to this kind of game. No need for a formal application — just tell me who you are at the table.
